MY STORY
I've worked since I was 14 years old.
Like a lot of people, I spent years working just to afford a roof over my head that I barely had time to enjoy because I was always at work.
For the last decade, up until August 2025, I worked supporting homeless teenagers and young people, helping them transition into independent living. It was rewarding work and I genuinely cared about the people I supported, but financially it wasn't enough. For much of that time I also worked supermarket night shifts because the second job actually paid more than my "real" job. Despite working hard, debt, borrowing money and living from payday to payday were my reality for years.
In 2021, I decided something had to change. I started learning everything I could about making money online—print-on-demand, digital products, dropshipping, publishing, design software and the countless platforms available to independent creators. I knew very little when I started, and everything I do today has come from years of learning, making mistakes, adapting and continuing to build. I now have multiple online income streams, and my colouring books are just one small part of what I do.
In 2025, I began learning how to use AI as another tool in my business. Today, some of my books involve AI. Some don't. Some use software I've paid for. Some use licensed assets I've subscribed to. Every project has its own workflow, and ultimately that's my business.
also now live with health conditions that aren't going away. They mean that if I want to continue earning a living, I have to work from home. It wasn't a choice I made—it was something I had to adapt to. Because of that, I could choose to rely on the financial support I'm entitled to. Instead, I've chosen to keep building something for myself using the skills I've spent years learning.
Not because it's easier—it isn't. Running a small business is unpredictable. There are constant changes, problems to solve, mistakes to learn from and, more recently, criticism and trolling online. But I choose this because I need purpose as much as I need an income.
For years I worked hard helping to build other people's futures while struggling to build my own. Today, every hour I work is invested in building my own future instead. There are no guarantees, but every lesson I learn, every mistake I make and every step forward belongs to me.
That's why I'll continue using the skills and tools I've spent years learning—including AI where I believe it's appropriate. I don't apologise for adapting, learning or using the resources available to build a more stable future for myself.
If my products aren't for you, that's completely fine. My priority is simply to continue building a life where I have stability, purpose, and something to work towards every morning.
That's exactly what I intend to keep doing
